And yet we also have to go to work (or look for a new job), feed ourselves, take care of our pets or kids … all while trying to not have a nervous breakdown ourselves.
There have been some bright spots, news-wise (that Wisconsin Supreme court seat election!), but it doesn’t seem like our circumstances are going to be changing anytime soon.
:: So you might get that sinking feeling when you read the news … but your brain will help you get a grip faster, and find something productive to do instead of scroll.

I’m Kara Loewentheil, and I’m the author of a New York Times bestselling book all about how women can create more peace and power by changing the way they think — and my work doesn’t shy away from confronting things like politics, systems, and discrimination.
Instead it empowers you to live a better life in an imperfect world — because if we put our lives on hold until everything is “fixed” we’ll be on hold forever.

As a neurodivergent black woman I’ve struggled my entire life with so many of the things that Kara discusses on her podcast. I’m currently in therapy and it has done NOTHING for me compared to the way I feel after listening daily. I just want to say that every day she makes me feel more & more secure in myself.
