That tomorrow, everything will be different?
You’ll buckle down and do your thought work.
You’ll focus on your self-development.
You’ll finally get that new habit started.
Except tomorrow arrives, and it isn’t different after all?
I’m gonna say we have Freud to blame for misleading us on this. (Another old white man, amirite?)
But I’ll skip the history lesson and just put it this way:
If we just understand the areas where we feel insecure at work, we’ll feel confident.
If we just understand why we choose unavailable romantic partners, we’ll pick better ones.
If we just understand how our parents screwed us up, we’ll feel better.
But understanding doesn’t actually do anything on its own.
If you don’t know how to actually FIX the brakes, that knowledge is not too useful.
If you want to make more money, you don’t just need to be aware of your money mindset. You need to know how to CHANGE IT.
If you want to pick a romantic partner who actually wants to have a relationship with you, you don’t just need to know your attachment style and how it’s making you anxious. You need to know how to CHANGE IT.
If you want to let go of all your resentment and wounds so you can evolve into a more powerful version of yourself, you don’t just need to understand what happened to you as a child. You need to know how to CHANGE your thoughts NOW.
Even when they are not serving us.
Even when they make us feel unsafe.
That’s why sometimes these beliefs require extra support to change.
It’s designed to take you deeper, faster — and to teach your brain that it’s safe to change by immersing it in a supportive community container.
You know that feeling you get when your boss criticizes your work, or that person you’ve been dating says they met someone else, or your fourth friend from college in a row posts online about her weight loss and the marathon she ran?
That punch-to-the-gut / sinking stomach / racing heart combination, where you’re somehow depressed, anxious, and nauseous all at the same time?
Here’s what’s wild: It’s actually possible to live the rest of your life without that feeling.
But in order to do that, you have to know how to change it while it’s happening.
Not just be able to deconstruct it a week later, once you’ve calmed down but after you’ve had 3 bottles of wine and bought a dress in the moment that you didn’t need.
But actually shift your thoughts while they are happening — and eventually, get so good at it that those crippling negative thoughts don’t even come up at all.
If you want more emotional resilience — aka to be able to control that rollercoaster in your brain — you must understand how to access and change your thoughts correctly, effectively, and powerfully. Whenever you need to, wherever you are. That’s what Day 1 is all about.
Not only are you going to become a model expert, I’m going to introduce you to a totally new tool (that’s only available at The Society Symposium) for understanding what’s going on with your models, and where to go next when you’re working on a tough topic.
Money seems like the ultimate circumstance sometimes, doesn’t it?
It’s out there in the world, there’s a finite amount of it, and we have to scheme and fight to get our share, which never feels like enough.
If that’s what it seems like to you, I get it.
But that’s not reality.
That’s the story that a sexist, capitalist society has told us to believe.
Society has told us money is bad and not for us — but oddly all those guys in power who tell us that have plenty of it for themselves. Huh. 🤔
The truth is that money is a human invention, and it’s not an exception to the model.
Money is a circulating resource and there’s so much out there for you.
The morality of money lies in how you create it and what you do with it.
But when you don’t believe that money is for you, you can’t see it all around you.
Yes, there are political and social realities that shape how money is distributed.
But you know what else shapes how much money you can have or create?
Your thoughts about money, specifically.
So on Day 2 we’re going to get deep into upgrading your money mindset, so that you can change your relationship with your finances forever.
Other people can be the best — and worst — parts of our lives.
That’s because our romantic partners and our family relationships trigger some of our earliest, deepest stories about ourselves and the world.
Which also means learning how to create safety, security, and love for yourself in any relationship is the key to having more fulfilling relationships with others.
Whether you want to work on your family relationships, your dating or romantic partnerships, or any other relationship in your life — Day 3 is going to be all about love.
Because when you can produce love on demand using your brain, you have what other people spend their whole lives looking for.
It can make family harmony and joy your daily experience — but also lets you set boundaries with family and love them from afar when needed.
It can make dating a fun adventure and partnership a beautiful exploration — and it also means you always know how to love yourself through the ups and downs of human intimacy.
Love is all we really want, at the end of the day — but only a few of us know how to create it for ourselves.
After these three days, you will too.
